ISSUE: Supervision system (and chain of command)
- Mandatory monitoring and evaluation.
- Structure of needs to be defined. Job should be defined. Both quality and quantity of work should be accounted.
- Implementation of effective methods of supervision both on site and from distance.
- Establishment of effective chain of command.
- All staff in a single unit must be controlled under the administrative umbrella of unit head.
- Exercise of effective control of unit heads over staff.
- Accountability of unit heads to higher authority / Director. Director should have full administrative authority over the unit heads.
ISSUE: Checklists and Quality assurance
- Medical audit and practice for measuring the hospital services based on certain norms and standards needs to be ensured.
- Preparation of supervision check lists for monitoring and evaluation of staff performance together with guidelines for their implementation Knowledge and practice of quality assurance.
- Active involvement of the Core group of Hospital Quality Assurance Project of the government.
ISSUE: Hospital manual
- Preparation of a comprehensive hospital manual (both service manual and clinical manual) is a must.
